BULL Allstars moved to within a point of leaders Talbot Head in the Soccer Site Malvern Football League following their 4-1 away victory over another title contender Club AC 30 on Sunday.

At the half way stage this was a close game, although Jamie James for Bull Allstars ensured they went in 1-0 to the good on a tacky Perdiswell pitch having beaten Andy Hall in the Club AC 30 goal from close range.

The second period started the brighter for Bull Allstars with Mark Toman, Jamie James, Paul James and Jamie Gladwin creating plenty of discomfort for the home defence in the early exchanges.

David Jones had an excellent performance for the home side throughout the game and along with the introduction of Aron Parr in the second half Club AC 30 created just as many chances. It was Bull Allstars who took their chances as Jamie James secured his second and just when the temperature of the game started to rise, James secured his well deserved hat-trick after good play by Paul James.

Aron Parr grabbed Club AC 30's goal with a close range effort in the final 10 minutes of the game, however it was Paul James who added the fourth for Bull Allstars with minutes remaining to secure the three points for the visitors 4-1 in a well controlled competitive encounter.

Morgan Aero 8 secured their third league win in succession with a confident display over St Peters to move them into third place on goal difference after their 16-0 victory.

With the score at 7-0 at the half-time interval Morgan Aero 8 were helped by an own goal. A Jordan Miller hat-trick lifted the spirits of the visitors with two of the goals powerful headers which gave the goalkeeper little chance. Mark Philpotts added a further two goals as the visitors made further inroads into the home defence during the second period.

Steve Field struck four times as Simon Rushling, Michael Griffin and Jamie Boswell each scored two goals apiece respectively to see Morgan Aero 8 in their highest League position of the season.

Level on points are Fromes Hill who travelled to Perdiswell to play West Midlands and although the visitors never hit top form they collected the three points against a spirited home side still searching for their first points of the season.

James Dean helped Fromes Hill into a 3-1 lead after 45 minutes with two strikes and Andy Bell for West Midlands brought the home side to within one goal of their opponents as he scored direct from the restart, seeing his looping effort slip over the Fromes Hill goal keeper for arguably the goal of the game.

Minutes later, however Fromes Hill had increased their lead thanks to Dave Eaton and although Andy Bell secured his second and Dean Scullion pitched in with a goal for West Midlands it was Fromes Hill who ran out 5-3 winners with James Howard and Paul Stubbs the other scorers.

Green Dragon move into fifth place close behind the leaders with an impressive 3-1 home victory over the previously higher placed Bell Inn 98 at Bishops Frome as Madresfield secured their fourth league win of the season with a 9-1 home win over Eeore.

In the remaining league fixture of the day an entertaining game took place at Slingpool Walk, Worcester as Worcester Juniors, who remain unbeaten in five weeks of action, defeated Kempsey United Reserves 3-2. Andy Froggatt opened the scoring for the home side before Luke Yeomans levelled the scores. With the score at 1-1 for some time Jamie Lawrence slotted in number two for the home side to see them lead at the break.

In the second-period Stuart Stanton levelled the scores for the second time in the game for Kempsey, with the closely fought encounter finally balanced it was Jamie Lawrence who secured his second goal of the match for Worcester Juniors to settle the tie 3-2 to the home side.

In the re-arranged HFA Sunday Cup Round Two Brewery progress to the next round with a 3-2 victory over Herefordshire League opposition Whitecross and they will continue in this competition a week on Sunday along with Green Dragon.

Brazilian Freddie Reis-De-Ponte helped Battledown Saracens to their first win of the season in the U18s Division as they overcame visiting Libbery Wanderers by 1-0.

Barnards Green Juniors helped themselves to all three points following their 6-0 home victory over Widemarsh Rangers, having scored twice in the opening five minutes they dominated most parts of the game to finally record their highest victory of the season. Lydon Roberts top scored with four goals, Tom Carr and Richard Foley scored one each.

Hereford Lads continued their winning streak with a 3-0 away victory at Bromsgrove Town. John Buchanan scored a brace.

Lads Club are now 14 points clear of their second placed opponents.
