THE future management of Malvern Theatres will be decided when Malvern Hills District Council meets on Tuesday.
Councillors will be deciding whether to accept a bid from Malvern Theatres Trust to take on the running of the venue.
A working party has been scrutinising the proposal over the last few months, and its final recommendations will be put before the council.
At the time of going to press the council was not willing to make public its recommendations as its assistant chief executive Stephen Leese said the report had not yet been circulated to councillors.
Coun Tom Wells, a member of the working party, said: "I am hopeful that the recommendations will put the theatres on a firm financial footing and achieve a better deal for local Council Tax-payers and for local amateur groups."
The working party met on Monday, when it discussed its proposals with theatre manager Nic Lloyd and trust chairman Clive Richards.
The council meeting, which is open to the public, is at Priory Lodge Hall, off Priory Road, Malvern, starting at 7pm.
