A DONATION of £300 to the Christmas lights has been made by Upton Town Council.
The money will be given to the Tourism and Trade Association, which is planning to put up 90 illuminated trees outside the town's shops on Sunday (November 24).
A 25ft tree will also be erected outside the Pepperpot. This has been donated by Madresfield Estates and will be transported free of charge by Malvern-based firm County Building Supplies. Mike Panes will supply a crane to put up the tree and Rowan Thomas will donate a set of lights.
Tourism and Trade Association chairman Bill Dovey is appealed for anyone who can to lend a hand on the day. He can be contacted at Gifted.
