TOMORROW (Saturday) Malvern Town entertain local rivals Bromyard Town (2.45pm) and will be looking to extend a run that has seen them pick up 19 points from their previous eight West Midlands League games.

Town will also be looking to secure a double over their neighbours, having won 3-2 at Bromyard just five weeks ago.

Their visitors though are sure to have other ideas as they are bound to include a large contingent of ex- Town players, with the likes of Adam Higgins, Phil Slade, Neil Mogford and Dave Damore expected to be in their starting line up.

Included in the Town squad will be striker Billy Davis, who returned from injury and scored in last Saturday's Reserve team's 4-3 defeat at Blackheath and also got through 45 minutes at Studley on Wednesday. Craig Williams will also be included in Saturday's squad.

Williams has recently signed for Forest Green on a non contract basis, but the Conference outfit, who do not have a reserve side, are happy for Williams to continue to play for Town whilst he awaits a first team opportunity.

Town, though have one major worry, in that goalkeeper Dave Alden is abroad this weekend, but Town boss Neil Hunt was hopeful of signing a keeper as cover before the weekend. If not reserve team 'keeper Ian Hunt stands by.

Defender Pete Roberts is a possible doubt for Town with a shoulder injury sustained during the Studley game as is Paul Edwards who sustained a facial injury during a Sunday fixture last weekend.

Hunt will pick from: Hunt (I), Williams, Roberts (P), Clayton, Cannon, Walker, Williams, Edwards, Halion, Walton, Owen, Goodman, Johnson, Roberts (D), Cox, Davis and Palmer.

Prior to Saturday's game, Hunt said: "We have no problem with our performances over the last few games and we don't think we are that far away, but there are perhaps one or two areas where we need strengthening and we have a couple of players in mind. We are certainly hopeful of landing at least one in the next couple of weeks.

"The Bromyard game will always be a test for us because of the familiarity in both camps and it should be a good contest," he said.

Town have no midweek fixture.

The Town Reserves do not have a game this weekend.

The U18s visit Pershore this coming Monday in the Midland Youth League (7.30pm).
