UPTON Rugby Club has appointed a new club physio with a brief to clear a backlog of injuries.
Phil Morton, aged 38, has joined the North Midlands One outfit as physio and sports injury specialist and has been asked by club captain Rob Heeley get a number of key players back as quickly as possible.
Heeley said: "Phil's appointment is a long term position and he's already proving an invaluable member of the backroom staff.
"He's getting to know the players and their various niggling injuries which are now being put right."
Phil, who recently qualified, lives in Staunton, Gloucester and is married with two children.
