FOLLOWING three successive pre-seasons wins against higher graded opposition, Malvern Town visit Midland Combin-ation Premier Division outfit Alveston tomorrow (Saturday), kick off 3pm, for what will be their fifth friendly so far.

Town will still be missing striker Billy Davis who is on holiday, as is Bobby Williams, but new signing Nathan Owen returns from his break and is likely to be included in the starting line up.

Another player lining up for Town, will be striker Des Cox, who signed for Town following Tuesday's 3-0 success against Hellenic League Premier Division outfit Pegasus.

Cox scored 52 times for Third Division Champions Littleton in last season's Midland Combination, a feat that earnt him the competitions Golden Boot award given to the league's leading goalscorer. Cox was also previously with Pershore.

Town have been pleased with their pre season so far, as general manager Richard Anson said: "There is a buzz around the club at the moment, we have a generally younger side, we look fit and the attitude of the players has been excellent and we have good players still to come in."

Anson though did not rule out a further signing, adding: "We have spoken to two players, both of whom would be a tremendous asset to us at this level, and although I doubt we will get both, we are confident of landing one and might well be able to make an announcement on Friday (today)."

On Tuesday (August 6) Town visit Harrow Hill (7.30pm) and on Thursday (August 8) a Town XI visit Cheltenham Saracens (7pm).

Town then wind up their pre season programme when they entertain Doc Martens Western Division new boys, Yate Town at the Langland Stadium next Saturday (August 10) kick off 3pm).

Town Reserves visit Fairfield Villa tomorrow (Saturday), kick off 3pm.

Prices are £55 adults and £27.50 for concessions, the ticket also includes admission to all reserve home games and some cup competitions, but excluding the FA Vase.
