MALVERN Town open their Express and Star West Midlands League Premier Division campaign with a trip to Bustleholme tomorrow (Saturday), kick-off 2.45pm.

The game will be played at Bilston Town FC following the home side's switch of tenancy from the Tipton Sports Academy.

Town go into the game in good heart, having won six of their seven pre season matches and have a full squad to pick from, with the exception of Ricky Halion, who returns from holiday on Saturday.

Added to the squad is former Town Player of the Year Dean Whittal-Williams. The 21-year-old Preston University student played for Colwyn Bay in last season's Unibond Premier Division, but this season he has featured in pre-season for Lancaster City.

Town general manager Richard Anson said: "Dean is a quality player and has the ability to make it at Lancaster, but he is local to us for the next month or so, and rather than Lancaster loan him out to another northern club, it was a simpler option for Dean to help us out over the vital first few weeks of the season. Lancaster though will have first call on his services."

Included in Town's squad for Saturday's game will be their four new signings, strikers Des Cox from Littleton and Billy Davis from Ross Town, and mid fielders Craig Williams from Rhyadder and Nathan Owen from Bromyard Town.

Town boss Joey Rawle and coach Neil Hunt have the difficult job of naming Saturday's team, with no- one having really let themselves down during pre-season, but Hunt said: "It doesn't really follow that Saturday's team will be the same side that starts against Westfields at home the following Tuesday (7.45pm). We feel they will be different types of games, which might require slight changes of personnel, but we understand players feelings at this time of year and it will be up to Joe and myself to deal with that and to reassure them that they have a key role to play in our plans."

Town select from: Alden, B Williams, Cannon, Cotterill, Davies, Clayton, Whittal-Williams, Ward, C Williams, Walker, Owen, Thomas, Davis, Hooper, Cox, Leighton, Jones and Roberts.

Town Reserves open their Division One (South) programme tomorrow (Saturday) when Lye Town Reserves visit Langland Stadium (2.45pm).
