MALVERN Town entertain Ettingshall HT in the West Midlands League Premier Division tomorrow (Saturday) at 2.45pm and will be looking to extend a run that has seen them lose just one of their previous nine games.

A run which has helped Town pull themselves into a mid table position and progress in the FA Vase and WFA Senior Urn.

Town general manager Richard Anson said: "Too many people reach too many conclusions from early season form and although we have loads to do yet, we know we are very capable and we expect to seriously progress from here.

"Tuesday's win at Bromyard was very important. We had been getting a bit of stick from certain quarters, not least of all from from one or two ex players who we had chosen to release, but I think we showed our quality on the night and proved what we are capable of."

"All along we have been pressing the need for patience as we changed things round a bit in the summer, but we need to get a good result on Saturday to continue our progress up the league, and also to set us up for the Vase tie at home to Norton United on the following Saturday."

Town have continued to re shape their squad, releasing midfielder Gary Smith and the veteran defender Sean Cotterill, both players have joined a large ex Town contingent at Pershore. Replacing Cotterill is young defender Pete Roberts and midfielder Rob Graham replaces Smith.

Town skipper Craig Williams, who missed the Bromyard game, returns to the line up this Saturday, and Town select from: Alden, Cannon, Williams (C), Clayton, Williams (L), Owen, Halion, Roberts (D), Walker, Ward, Azor, Cox, Hooper, Wade, Graham and Roberts (P).

Town do not have a midweek game, but next Saturday they entertain North West Counties Division Two side Norton United in the First Round Proper of the FA Carlsberg Vase.

The club is seeking match and ball sponsors for this important game and interested individuals and businesses can contact Richard Anson on 07769 710858, or on his office number 01789 721843.
