AN ethnic food and drink conference, due to take place on Monday, has been postponed.
Ethnic Foods - Locally Produced, Global Demand, was due to be held at Villa Park, in Birmingham.
The event, organised by Heart of England Fine Foods (HEFF), is rescheduled for 2003.
"Producers have expressed concern that, due to an unusually early seasonal demand for products, business owners and directors were finding it difficult to release staff to attend the event," said Karen Davies, chief executive of HEFF.
"We have, therefore, decided to reschedule the conference with the complete programme of speakers to the new year."
Experts from the food service sector, supermarkets, grocery retailing and catering industry will look at innovation and creativity in small businesses and explore ways of adding value to further develop ethnic food and drink manufacturing in the West Midlands.
