THE sounds of Ragtime will fill the Huntingdon Hall tonight (Friday), opening the venue to a week of different musical styles.
Following the Ken Colyer Trust New Orleans Jazz Band's performance of Ragtime Resplendent: A Tribute to Scott Joplin and Other Great Composers (tickets £10, concs £9), Welsh four-piece Crasdant will demonstrate their unique sound on Wednesday, November 13.
The traditional Celtic recital will feature Welsh triple harp, guitar, flute, fiddle, accordion and pibgorn (tickets £8.50, concs £7.50).
On Friday pianist Bernard Roberts will be giving a pre-concert talk and piano recital in the venue from 7.15pm.
The acclaimed British musician will perform Haydn's Sonata in C, Beethoven's Sonata in Eb and Moonlight Sonata, Debussy's Images, Book II and Brahm's 4 Piano Pieces (tickets £12, concs £10, students and children £6).
