LOCAL karate students gathered recently at Dyson Perrins School, Malvern for a one-day training course and grading examination held by the English Wado-Ryu Sport Karate Association.
The head coach of EWSKA, Mr Clayton Murrain (7th Dan) was present assisted by Jounier Taylor (3rd Dan), who runs clubs in Malvern and Bromyard.
Over 100 students took part, including participants from clubs in Malvern, Ledbury, Bromyard, Leominster and Hereford, and several medal winners from the recent Karate World Championships held in Birmingham in September.
The Malvern club trains at Christchurch hall in Avenue Road every Wednesday from 6pm and the Bromyard Club meet at 6.30pm every Friday at the Heritage Centre.
Ledbury EWSKA students train from 6.30pm on Tuesday at the Leisure Centre.
Everyone is welcome to come along and train from age six upwards, male or female, beginner to black belt.
