MALVERN Hills Conservators have bought a 28.6-acre site on the hills.
The land, which includes the Berington Quarry, is located on the eastern slope of the range, above Little Malvern.
It was put up for sale about a month ago by the trustees of the Little Malvern estate.
The Conservators paid £53,000 for the land, the money coming from its land acquisition fund.
Conservators' director Ian Rowat said he was delighted that they had acquired the land.
The Conservators have also bought 20 acres at the Hacketts, Mathon, a field in West Malvern, next to the outdoor centre, and a plot of land at Broomy Hill, Castlemorton.
A leaflet will be issued next year, outlining the new acquisitions.
