MALVERN Ladies entertained Redditch United in a Kidderminster Women's County Football League match on Sunday and cruised to a second league victory.
MALVERN LADIES FC 5, REDDITCH UTD 0
The first half was dominated by both midfields with very few scoring opportunities for either team. Redditch's defence played the offside trap very well, which caught the Malvern forwards numerous times.
Malvern kicked off the second half and passed back to Kate Boulton whose accurate through ball found Emily Prosser who gave Malvern a 1-0 lead. Malvern then started to play more confident football.
In the 55th minute a corner from Flick Slater fell to Tracey Evans who fired home from close range. One minute later a fine through ball from Helen Hammond was shot past the advancing keeper by Emily Prosser. Four minutes later Sam Shail received the ball in her own half, raced past the Redditch defence and gave the keeper no chance making it 4-0. In the 80th minutes another Malvern corner was deflected into the goal off a defender making it 5-0.
Emma Hinchcliffe and Karina Farr both had good games for Malvern.
Malvern Ladies FC, who are sponsored by First Floor Flooring, play their next game away to second place Worcester City Ladies on Sunday (November 10).
