I WHOLEHEARTEDLY support T Cox (Your Letters, October 25).
When attending meetings years ago to discuss various events that were to take place at the Three Counties Showground, the then parish council openly supported the Three Counties Committee for events appertaining to motoring against the majority of the residents' wishes.
Nothing appears to have changed since those days except the increase in noise and traffic. No information is given as to what is contributed out of the profits from all the shows to the Highway Authority for road repairs. Also, no one else would be allowed to display the plethora of signs the Three Counties seem to deem necessary.
Above all of this, the residents, many of whom bought their properties some years ago, looking for a peaceful area in which to reside, and justifiably expecting it in an area nationally regarded as one of outstanding beauty, never imagined they would be subjected to the arrogant and uncaring attitude of the Three Counties Committee toward their neighbours.
