A PRESENTATION outlining results of a residents' survey in the parish of Hanley Castle has had to be postponed.

The Parish Plan Working Party had such an overwhelming response to its questionnaire asking about life in the Hanleys it has not been able to assimilate the information.

"There hasn't been the time to handle the volume of data we've got and do a presentation," said Brian Symonds, chairman of the working party.

More than 340 households in the parish, around 70 per cent, returned the six-page questionnaire, which gave opportunities to speak out on every aspect of life in the area.

The process of assessing householders' opinions is taking place as part of the formulation of a parish plan, which would give the parish council greater autonomy.

The presentation had been due to take place on Friday, November 15, but will now happen in January, at a date to be fixed.
