The Charlatans front man, Tim Burgess, will be DJing at Bristol Academy and Birmingham Academy.

Burgess has confirmed he will be DJing at Ramshackle club, at Birmingham Academy, on Friday, November 15, and Bristol Academy on Friday, November 22.

Anniversary

The singer will spin an eclectic mix of funk and northern soul, mixed with classic indie tunes at the two Academy venues, to celebrate Birmingham Academy's second birthday and Bristol Academy's first anniversary party.

"It's quite a coup for us to get Tim Burgess as he's only in the country for two weeks," said Ramshackle promoter Steve Gerrard.

Ramshackle hosts weekly club nights at both Birmingham Academy and Bristol Academy, blasting out stomping indie anthems, beats and breaks, hip-hop and funk, plus northern soul, with a dash of rock, punk and metal thrown in for good measure.

Previous star guests to have graced the Ramshackle decks include Bez, of Happy Mondays fame, Jarvis Cocker, of Pulp, and Mani, of Primal Scream (ex-Stone Roses).
