TURNING handmade textiles into imaginative gifts will be the theme of one of this weekend's workshops at Barrington House Creative Arts Centre in Bishop's Frome.
On November 9 and 10, creative artists and craftswomen will meet up at the Georgian mansion to offer inspirational ideas.
On Saturday, textile artist Laura Kemshall will show how to turn paper into stunning gifts, while Liz Huppert demonstrates the trick to creating stained glass decorations for trees.
On Sunday, Annette Jackman will mix thoughts of Christmas with India for a silk painting festive cards course, while mosaic artist Sue Flynn shows how to make mosaic bowls and planters and Sharon McSwinney helps create jewellery from metal, wire and beads.
Day courses cost £40 and include home-made lunch. To book, or for more information, call Margaret Owen on 01885 490274 or email enquiries.bhcac@talk21.com.
