MALVERN'S Abbey Hotel is the setting for a special breakfast meeting where business people will have the opportunity to ask some penetrating questions about the new airport proposed for Rugby.

Brian Summers, managing director of Birmingham International Airport, will be the guest speaker at the Conservative Business Forum (CBF) breakfast, due to take place on Monday.

Questions will be asked about the environmental impact, the economic implications and the effect on the present Birmingham airport.

"This is a very important issue for all businesses," said Florence Wise, who organises the breakfast meetings on behalf of the CBF.

"Whether you are a business that uses the airport for freight and to get to and from meetings, or a business in the tourism industry that will be affected by passenger numbers, it will affect everybody."

The CBF was formed to give a voice to local businesses at national and European level.

Conservative MPs and Euro MPs attend the meetings and report people's views to Westminster and Brussels.

Sir Michael Spicer, Conservative MP for West Worcestershire, will be at the meeting, which is due to start at 7.15am.

There are a limited number of places still available by telephoning Florence Wise on 01684 310561.
