"THEY may be big but they don't scare us," said Yasmin and Laurence Murphy when they met up with mini beasts at Bidford Library.
The youngsters were among many who met up with the strange creatures, including a snake, slug, cockroaches and a millipede, taken to the library by staff of Stratford Butterfly Farm.
"We wanted to give people the chance to see these creatures at close quarters and the opportunity to handle them," said Sue Fisher, senior library assistant.
"It happened to be at a time when the children were coming out of school and, of course, they were fascinated."
She added: "It was a very successful venture."
