BOWLING: Leaders Chestnuts took all six points against Squirrel in their Gilt Edge Short Mat League encounter in a close match.
They only won the second half by two shots and are closely followed by second-placed Invincibles who were given a scare for the second week in a row.
At 6-6 and two shots down, Invincibles ace Richard Payne helped the jack into the ditch to take three winning shots.
Untouchables were only able to field four players, giving Chester Road a comfortable 27-10 win.
Stourport are continuing to play well and they beat Aces 19-9.
Crusaders lost 21-12 to Tornadoes but beat Blakedown 17-10, while Dire Straits lived up to their name in a 28-10 defeat to Wribbenhall.
On the county scene, the Worcestershire Premier side enjoyed a superb 26-10 win at Northampton with 203 shots to their hosts' 142.
Dave Hall played particularly well to win 28-6 and 19-9, while Craig Hall also won his singles games.
The A team were beaten at home by Herefordshire 23-13.
