ABOUT 50 members attended an evening of wildlife photography on October 17 at Alcester High School.
Rotarian Jim Clarke introduced Peter Preece, whose skill, patience and enthusiasm in building hides and waiting for the right moment to capture the perfect image was portrayed in the quality of the photographs.
Peter gave a brief description of the equipment he used and his presentation comprised of birds, butterflies, snakes and wildlife in general.
He explained judges' comments on certain photographs, leaving the audience in wonder as to why he did not win an award.
But his expertise has won him many awards, the most eminent of which was to come equal second in the British Birdwatchers Journal Awards, a national competition which attracts thousands of entries.
A framed photograph of a robin was won by Mary Weddell.
