WYRE Piddle Livewyres are the early pacesetters in Division One of the Evesham Association following three big wins.
Geoff Woodward and Mal-colm MacFarlane both scored maximums in an 8-2 victory over Bengeworth Blue, a 7-3 defeat of Kington Bulldogs and an 8-2 win over Evesham Rowing Club.
All three Bulldogs beat Rob Addis to earn them one point.
Much-changed champions Wyre Elite opened with an 8-2 win over Littleton Aces and followed up with a 7-3 defeat of newly formed Bengeworth Purple.
All three Purples won a singles with Lynda Reid beating Keith Ferguson. Aileen Berry also beat Ferguson 11-5 in the fifth set, while Tom Urbanski beat Graham Fisher 8-11, 11-9, 13-11, 12-10.
Bengeworth Tigers have won two out of two with 7-3 victories over Evesham Rowing Club and 8-2 over clubmates Red.
Doug Payne won his three singles for the Rowers on his return to the league including an 11-8, 11-4, 11-9 win over Grahame Brown. Richard McGhee beat both Dougie Allan and Ron Keyte in the victory over Red.
Mark Green and Chris Gooderham both won three singles each for Wyre Outcasts in their 6-4 defeat of Kington Bulldogs but then lost 6-4 to Littleton Aces.
Ken Baker beat both Mark Green and Ian Gooderham 12-10 in the fifth set and remained unbeaten on the night with victory over Neil Green. In partnership with Jill Stride, the pair took the doubles and the match over the Green brothers.
Outcasts bounced back with a 6-4 victory over Bengeworth Purple with Neil Green winning three singles.
ERC could field only two players on their visit to Benge-worth Blue and lost 9-1. Craig Norledge's 11-9, 7-11, 12-10, 11-9 win over John Buxton was his first in Division One.
