SAMBOURNE'S war memorial is looking spick and span in the run-up to Remembrance Day after its recent renovation.
Though the work has already been done, the parish council is still raising more than £1,000 to cover the cost of the repairs.
But parish council clerk Alan Harrison was happy with the results.
The memorial was last restored 38 years ago.
