Three star

I loved the Pop Idol concert which featured the top 10 finalists of the award-winning television talent show. It was fast paced, entertaining and well choreographed.

So I was looking forward to this concert performed by Pop Idol winner Will and runner-up Gareth but sadly, I was very disappointed.

Don't get me wrong, for the hundreds of adoring young fans I am sure it was absolutely fantastic but I became bored and frustrated at the performances, which were unimaginative with no funky dance routines.

Gareth's arrival on stage was quite dramatic as he leapt over a fence away from screaming girls and threw himself into a great performance of Michael Jackson's The Way You Make Feel.

But then the audience was treated to cover after cover from The Beatle's Yesterday to Unchained Melody, although to be fair there was the odd original song thrown in, I think.

Gareth's performance of Elvis classic Suspicious Minds with him wearing a copy of that famous tight, white jumpsuit raised a few smiles and pulses.

Will gave a stronger more animated performance and belted out his own songs from his new album which all had a very jazzy feel to them.

Will and Zoe's version of It Takes Two Baby was, for me, the performance of the concert, it was lively, choreographed and great to watch.
