Two star
THINK what you will about the moral and commercial aspects of these eight children forming a band, they could teach many an older band a thing or two about singing.
These five girls and three boys have gorgeous voices and produce some cracking harmonies. My younger children loved it and as the CD is aimed at them and not at anyone with leanings towards Ella Fitzgerald or So Solid Crew, you couldn't ask for more.
In the same way that anyone over 35 probably felt a warmth towards Bonny Langford at the time of her childhood successes, youngsters will love this 14-track collection and will pose with hairbrushes to live the dream of being stars themselves.
The music is an effective mix of new modern numbers, including their past and present chart hits, and well executed covers.
My favourite is One Fine Day, which I did suggest my own children attempt to replicate in equally neat harmony, but they wanted to be left alone to bop.
The music will certainly get youngsters dancing, and I envisage it cropping up at many a weeny disco and wrapped up by many a doting granny or aunty as a successful Christmas present.
