A HINDU festival has been lighting up the faces of children from a multi-cultural Bromsgrove school.
Pupils at the Mount School, in Birmingham Road, are learning about Diwali, a religious period celebrating the goddess of light and wealth.
During October and November, Hindu families mark Diwali by lighting special lamps and candles, feasting and exchanging gifts.
Mount students produced an assembly about the festival for their parents, enjoyed interesting lessons on the topic and also tried on traditional Hindu clothes.
Headteacher Jane Stowe said: "We are a Christian-based school but it's important that we present all aspects of religion.
"Our students come from a variety of ethnic backgrounds and its always great to share culture in the classroom."
