DROITWICH Spa RFC U14s were thrashed 72-0 by Hereford in their worst ever defeat.
Collectively, Spa simply could not handle the pace and power of a good Hereford side, who had improved beyond all recognition since Droitwich beat them 12 months ago.
There were few positives to take from the match as Droitwich missed tackles, dropped passes and never adjusted to the pace of the game.
Hereford were up and running within a couple of minutes of the kick-off and never looked in danger as they ran in tries at will.
The only highlights were the performances of Phil Thomas in the heart of the Droitwich pack and James Nicholson on the wing. They shared the Droitwich man of the match award.
Chaddesley Corbett RFC U13s went down 47-5 at Willenhall.
In difficult weather conditions, Chaddesley managed to play some excellent rugby and the score line flattered Willenhall.
Man of the match was Bobby Lawrenson while Sam Bower scored the visitors' try.
