JUNCTIONS 2 and 3 on the M42 north of Redditch have been identified as part of a Government target to tackle congestion and safety issues.

The junctions are part of 16 other schemes in the West Midlands which will eventually make the road network safer and less congested.

A Highways Agency spokesman said it was early days yet but work to tackle congestion at the junctions should take place within five years.

Studies have already been carried out but more may be needed.
