BROMSROVE RFC First XV captain Dean Ball could be back in the side for Saturday's visit of Leicester Lions to Finstall Park.
Ball (pictured) missed last weekend's 49-17 victory at Kenilworth because of a knee injury but coach David Stout hopes to have him and Adrian Parsons, also out with a knee injury, available for selection.
Ball's knee injury had been feared quite serious but Stout said it has responded well to treatment to the extent he was nearly fit for Kenilworth.
Bromsgrove beat Leicester in a cup match last season but whatever team takes the field, Stout knows his side will need to move up a gear from the Kenilworth win.
He said: "Leicester Lions will have to be beaten. They won't be expecting us to just power up the points. We will need to improve and I believe we can do that."
Bromsgrove have also be drawn at Sutton Coldield in the Powergen Intermediate Cup Third Round.
The tie is scheduled for Saturday, November 9.
