WORCESTER'S Perdiswell Park's October Medal saw rejuvenated senior Ray Day secure top spot by equalling his personal best round of 91-28-63. He beat Peter Brown by one stroke and Alan Hateley 87-22-65 was third.
At the October Stableford competition the first of the season's frosts struck the park course and the scores reflected the changed conditions, only two players managing nett par rounds.
John Byrne and Martin Aylieeff both scored 36 points but Byrne took first place on countback. Cyril Misters was third on 34 points and fourth-placed Olwyn Griffiths was the highest placed lady member.
The club's seniors visited Little Lakes, Bewdley and recorded their heaviest defeat of the season 5-1. The only successful pairing was Collis Fisher and Tony Porter who won 3 & 2.
