A SOUL train will be running through Bromsgrove on Friday night when a top tribute band brings motown to the town.
The Commandments will be making their first appearance at the Lickey End Social Club this Friday.
Motown music-lovers can look forward to many hits from the film The Commitments as well as other popular soul artists including Otis Reading, Wilson Pickett and the first man of cool James Brown.
The Halesowen-based group has been together for eight years and despite playing gigs the lengths and breadths of the country this is their first Bromsgrove show.
Guitarist Paul Morgan: "Over the years we have played all over the Midlands and even further afield but apart from a few private gigs this is the first in the Bromsgrove area.
"Although many of the songs date back to the sixties, soul music is just as popular today as it was then.
