MEMBERS of Malvern and Hanley Castle Angling Clubs fished the Roy Bouston memorial match on an unresponsive River Avon at Birlingham.
A sudden cold snap seemed to put the fish off and Richard Gilks needed only 1lb 9oz of small roach to win the cup and the top prize kindly donated by Helen Reynolds of Allan's Tackle in St Johns. Dave Yapp was runner up with 1lb 7oz and Richard Webster third with 13oz.
Next match is the outing to Symonds Yat on the River Wye, which has been cancelled the last two years because of floods.
