SOUL covers band Bat Whispers will kick off the weekend at the Marr's Bar tonight (Friday) with support from three-piece outfit Feedback.
If Saturday's traditional ska night succeeds it could become a regular fixture in the Worcester venue's calendar, and Mark Foggo's Skasters will do their very best to make sure it does. Smoke Like a Fish and Puffin will chip in with their respective blends of catchy ska-punk.
Sunday will see Jackie Levens, solo singer/songwriter with numbers such as Hidden World of She and Billy Ate My Pocket, perform his inimitable brand of Caledonian soul.
Kidderminster-based outfits will dominate the weekday evenings, with Episonic appearing for a musical makeover on Tuesday night, and indie rockers Komanchi Tribe booked for Thursday.
Tribute band Fred Zeppelin, whom Robert Plant has been to see live on two occasions, may have sold out by the time they appear on Friday, October 25, as tickets are selling well. They are available from the Pierpont Street venue on 01905 613336.
