ILLNESS has forced the Pepperpot Players to postpone their latest production, Outside Edge, which was due to open last night (Thursday).
Spokeswoman Rachael Willoughby said two cast members had flu and a third had a kidney infection, leaving only five actors fit enough to continue.
"What we don't want to do is put on a mediocre production," she said. "It's not fair to ask people to stand in at such short notice, so we're postponing it for two weeks."
The play, which charts the lives and loves of a cricket team, will now be shown on Thursday, October 31, and Friday, November 1, with no Saturday showing because of other events organised to celebrate Guy Fawkes' Night. Anyone requiring a ticket refund, should contact Margaret Marshall on 01684 594393.
