MALVERN Wells is in for a treat from October 24-26 when the Players stage their latest offering entitled Sylvia by A R Gurney, first produced in New York in 1995.
This delightful comedy is set in Manhattan. The main characters are Greg and Kate who have had 22 years of child raising. Greg's career is winding down, at the same time Kate's career as an English teacher is beginning to open up. Then into Greg's life comes Sylvia!
Sylvia is played by newcomer 17-year-old Hayley Webb. Greg is played by Mike Fray and Kate is played by Chrissie Bemand. Ewan Peach, Mary Timins and Val Greaves give splendid support and Mike Jackson is the director.
Performances on Thursday, October 24, Friday, October 25 and Saturday, October 26 start at 7.30pm and tickets cost only £3.50 each. Tickets are available from Malvern Wells Post Office or from any cast member.
