TOMORROW (Saturday) Outer Limits, the benefice church youth group, will be meeting in Longdon Vicarage from 7pm to 9pm. The evening will include a quiz, board games, computer games, snooker, table tennis, food and chat.

The service in St Mary's Church on Sunday at 6.30pm will be a harvest festival songs of praise. Traditional harvest hymns will be interspersed with appropriate Bible readings, and the service will include three anthems sung by St Mary's Church Choir. All ages are welcome to attend the service. The church will be decorated in the traditional way. The Longdon harvest supper will take place on Saturday, October 26 at 7pm for 7.30pm in the village hall. Tickets are available from Roger Woodward, churchwarden, at £3 per adult and £1.50 per child. Soft drinks will be provided but parishioners are invited to bring their own alcoholic drinks and glasses. Offers to make apple pies would be welcome.

Also on Sunday Bridge Builders, the benefice Sunday School for children aged five-12 years will be meeting in Longdon Vicarage from 11.15am-12.30pm. Activities will include songs, games, craft, stories and refreshments.

On Tuesday, October 22 at 9.30am parents and other parishioners are warmly invited to the school's harvest festival service in St Mary's Church followed by coffee and a bring and buy sale in school. Contributions for the bring and buy sale should be brought to the school on Monday, October 21 at 3.15pm if possible. At 7pm on Tuesday the Worship and RE sub-committee of the Governing Body will be meeting in school.

Mrs Corinna Gregory, a teacher at Longdon St Mary's Primary School, has recently had a baby by Caesarean section - Oliver Ben Gregory - weighing 6lb 14 oz. Mrs Gregory and Oliver are both doing well and were delighted to receive so many cards from school.
