LAST Friday evening at the village hall, approximately 76 people attended the harvest supper. Entertainment was provided by Carl Attwood. On the following Sunday morning a children's harvest and communion service took place at St James' Church. Gifts brought were later to be auctioned and non-perishable gifts sent to Romania. Following the service a young families lunch was held in the Ale House. In the evening a harvest Churches Together in Colwall evensong took an unexpected turn when a power cut plunged St James' Church into darkness.
Candles were lit and the service continued with wine and juice accompanying the auction. The service was conducted by Carl Attwood and the address was given by Colin Beevers.
Tickets are now available for the next production of the Colwall Players. This is The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen's Guild Dramatic Society production of Macbeth. This production takes place at the village hall, Colwall, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, October 24, 25 and 26, at 7.30pm. Tickets are obtainable form John Goodwin Estate Agents, Walwyn Road, Colwall.
