MY cousin, the Rev Susan Tate, is the incumbent of Christchurch parish, Woodbridge, near Toronto, Ontario.
In her churchyard there is a memorial to the Herberts. who hail from Kidderminster.
Four names are inscribed on this memorial. Andrew Herbert died in 1884 aged 64, while Lillian Herbert, wife of Frances Smyth died in 1950 at the age of 68.
Also named are Charles Herbert (1844-1904), the son of Andrew and Ann Herbert, and Ann Coley, wife of Andrew Herbert who died in her 89th year.
There may be relatives still living in Wyre Forest and my cousin is keen to know how these people came to be in Canada.
It may also fill a link in a family tree.
