THE Rev D G Griffin is fully entitled to promote his outspoken views on both the Church of England and the Labour Party (You Say, October 5).
What he may not do is dismiss as "spin" the fact that the Churchwardens and District Church Council of St John's Church, elected in April 2001, put a clear distance between themselves and the breakaway group that left to form the independent evangelical church, Christ Church Kidderminster.
Those left at St John's Church are now working hard to repair the damage of recent years, and to build up the church.
