AN 85-68 win over last season's Division One runners-up Smithswood Sabres saw Redditch Regents record their best start to a season for three years.

Dave Bradshaw's side made it four wins out of four, including a 96-73 win over Bromsgrove in the first round of the Rose Bowl.

And the Redditch side will be out to extend that sequence away to the Bromsgrove side they knocked out of the Cup competition.

Regents visit Bromsgrove on Sunday (tip-off 12.45pm) with Australian import Barry Richardson hoping to extend his impressive run of form.

The Arrow Vale side are still buzzing after following up an opening day 63-60 win over Avon Valley with their first win over Warley for five seasons.

First Division champions last season, Warley refused promotion to the Premier Division of the West Midlands League but proved no match for a Regents side with their sights on the title.

The all-conquering Regals women's team have played only one match in the West Midlands Premier Division this season.

They opened up with an 83-22 win at Panthers but the visit of Aztecs to their Studley Sports Centre base was postponed because their opponents could not raise a team.

Regals, who have added small forward Michele Patch from Ipswich Bobcats, visit Force on Thursday (tip-off 7.45pm) and entertain Falcons next Wednesday (tip-off 7.15pm).
