BROMSGROVE Hockey Club Men's First XI followed up their opening day victory with a 3-0 victory at Stafford in DTZ West Midlands division one.

The visitors dominated the game with goals from Mark Robinson, Ashley Clarke, and Bevan Edwards.

Bromsgrove quickly settled down and went close early on when Robinson hit a shot just over the bar.

Robinson twice went close before Clarke put the visitors ahead, deflecting home a sizzling shot from a Paul Yates corner.

Stafford managed to re-group after the break but more than seven corners failed to produce a single shot.

Robinson converted Bromsgrove's third corner for 2-0 after a neat interchange with Clarke.

Town continued to raid the Stafford goal and got a third through Edwards.

In the reverse fixture, the Seconds led 3-0 at half time with two goals from Nick Frizzell and a Matt Russell strike.

Bromsgrove held on for their first win of the season despite a Stafford consolation making it 3-1.

The Thirds were awarded a 3-0 walkover victory at Walsall because the opposition failed to get the pitch open for the game.

Old Silhillians beat the Fourths comfortably 4-0.
