SUMPTUOUS wall hangings, cushions, lamps and bags crafted by Malvern's textile artists will be on show next week.

From Monday, the Malvern Makers, who studied at Malvern Hills College, will be staging their third annual exhibition.

Eight ex-students of the City & Guilds creative design and embroidery course have chosen The Barry Jackson Room in Grange Road, near to Malvern Theatres, as the venue for their show, previously held in Hereford.

"Our individual styles of work were always very different and, as they continue to evolve, each exhibition proves to be more interesting and inspiring than the last," said exhibitor Sarah Walker.

Prices will range from £2 for hand-made cards to more than £250 for felt wall hangings. Shoppers will also be able to buy framed pictures as well as a host of other items.

The exhibition, which runs from Monday until Saturday, October 26, is open from 10am to 4.30pm. It is closed on Sundays.

One of the artists will be on hand at all times to answer questions on their work.
