A MAN has died following a crash near Leominster this morning.
The grisly discovery was made at 7.30am by an off-duty paramedic on his way to work.
A car had collided with a lorry on the A49 Ashton to Leominster Road, just outside Berrington Hall.
An ambulance attended, having received a 999 call at 7.37am, but the driver of the car was dead at the scene.
A second man was being treated by ambulance crews but it was unclear what his injuries were.
The road was closed in both directions when the Evening News went to press, while fire crews worked to clear the scene and make the area safe.
Two appliances from Leominster and the emergency tender from Hereford attended.
Local diversions were put in place, but delays were expected throughout the morning.
Hereford police ref-used to confirm whether or not they were at the scene or any other details of the crash.
