TEACHERS shared their favourite poems with pupils at a Worcester school to celebrate National Poetry Day.
Students at Alice Ottley School in The Tything began each of their lessons with the reading of a poem.
There was also a special assembly, a poetry competition and the chance to buy poetry books.
"The whole day was great," said French teacher Julia McCreath. "They all entered into the spirit of the day and enjoyed the poems we read.
"I read one by Prevert, while the Spanish teachers chose Spanish poems and the German teacher read German ones.
"We all enjoyed sharing our poems with the children."
National Poetry Day took place on Thursday, October 10.
