Tewkesbury Sports Pool League
LAST year's runners-up, Hayward's Armies, met Formula One at Reekons in a surprisingly one-sided match which resulted in a 12-3 victory for Formula One despite Darren Summerall gaining his second seven- ball win of the season.
A strong all-round team performance led by Alan Collins was the key for the winners who move into third as they also beat Bredon FC 13-2 in their scheduled fixture.
The Wheatpieces continued their great early season form with yet another victory at the expense of the Renegades and now see themselves just seven points off the top of the league thanks to fine displays by Tristan Riches, Paul Evans and Nick Watkins.
Indeed other than the Alpina Bush Cutters, who won 10-5 against the Severn Slayers, Wheatpieces are the only other unbeaten side.
Elsewhere the Nomads bounced back from defeat last week with a comprehensive win 14-1 at the Town Crest against the East Street Five.
Results: Alpina Bush Cutters 10, Slayers 5; Formula One 13, Bredon FC 2; east St Five 1, Nomads 14; Hayward's Armies 12, Too Pott 3; Wheatpieces 11, Renegades 4.
