MORE than 150 businesses in the Laurel Pub Company's nationwide estate will be hosting a series of in-pub qualifiers that will give the chance for thousands of darts players to qualify for the newly launched UK Open Darts Championship.
This is part of an extraordinary £200,00 sponsorship deal between the Laurel Pub Company and the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC).
The in-pub qualifiers are open to all darts players, both male and female and entry is free. Each nominated business will host a total of five qualifiers, each producing winners who will go on to the Regional Finals where they will come face-to-face with the world's best players.
Each Regional Final has a phenomenal prize fund of £14,400 and will be staged over two days.
From there, the top 128 prize money earners from the eight regional finals will earn the right to compete in the UP Open Grand Final at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton next May.
