WAR with Iraq is not the only global conflict. Rotary Club International is waging a global war on polio.
There have been successful campaigns in Europe and the Americas. Now the disease is being fought in its last few strongholds. The weapons used are not bullets, but drops of oral polio vaccine.
So far, two billion children have been vaccinated. The target for Global Eradication is 2005.
However, there is a need for further funds to complete the task. Rotary clubs throughout Worcestershire will be holding fund-raising events during the coming months. We ask for your support.
