HAVING recently been away on holiday, I have only just read two items regarding our "wonderful" bus service.

One was about children being taken off the buses and the other referred to cuts in services.

At the end of both articles it stated that no one from First Bus was available to comment.

I should like to ask if anyone is ever available to comment from First Bus.

The service we get on the 21 to Green Lane is atrocious. Passengers can often wait up to an hour for buses that are supposed to run every 15 minutes.

The only bus that can be relied upon to arrive on time is the 303 Kidderminster service - not run by First.

If anyone from First Bus can be found to comment I would stilll like to know why it is not possible to buy a return ticket before 9am.

Most commuters travel to work before 9am but cannot buy a return ticket until 9.01. However, pensioners can buy their cheap returns at any time. Where is the logic in this?

I would have thought that offering returns before 9am may perhaps encourage more people to use the bus service, which is what the Government keep telling us.

This is unlikely to happen until the so-called service improves - or another company is allowed to set up in competition.
