MALVERN Priory is the venue for a concert by the Aldwyn Voices during the final weekend of the Autumn in Malvern Festival.

Mark Bebbington, one of the leading pianists of his generation, will be playing Elgar's Allegro: concert solo for piano and Grieg's Lyric Pieces for piano.

Mark has achieved distinction both as a soloist and for his concerto work with many of the world's leading orchestras.

Last year, he undertook a 15-concert European tour, which featured the work of unjustly neglected composers. He is also committed to modern music, playing the solo piano repertoires of Judith Bingham, Toru Takemitsu and other composers.

The concert also features choral works by Elgar and Grieg, William Byrd, Orlando Gibbons, William Walton, Michael Tippet and Ralph Vaughan Williams.

The conductor is James Vivien, a leading organist, recitalist, accompanist and teacher. The organist is Carleton Etherington, organist and master of the choristers at Tewkesbury Abbey.

The concert is on Saturday, October 19, at 12.30pm. Tickets (£6 unreserved) are available from the Malvern Theatres' box office on 01684 892277.

The relationship between Robert Browning and Elizabeth Barrett Browning is explored in Love That Endures, at the Rogers Theatre, Malvern College, on Sunday, October 20, at 3pm.

The secret courtship of the two poets, their long correspondence, their meetings under the shadow of Elizabeth's tyrannical father, their marriage and elopement to Italy, has become one of the most celebrated stories in literary history.

Distinguished actress Rosalind Shanks and broadcaster Gabriel Woolf recreate the relationship through readings of their letters and poems.

Tickets (£7.50 unreserved) are available from the box office.
