LANGLAND Sports had mixed fortunes over the weekend winning comfortably on Saturday and then losing by a single goal on Sunday.
On Saturday Langland defeated Hanley Swan 7-0 at home.
Striker Nick Kordas was in superb form with five goals, taking his tally to 13 goals in four games. Also on target was Alan Evans and Stu Harvey. Pete Branneley starred in the Langland midfield continually releasing the wide players.
On Sunday it was the first time in the club's league and cup history that they have not scored a goal when they lost 1-0 at home to Perrywood Reserves.
Perrywood scored direct from a free kick that keeper Mark Newman allowed to slip through his grip and drop into the goal and try as they did Langland just could not get off the mark.
Mark Newman then saved a penalty kick before Stu Harvey hit the post and several good chances went begging.
